Read Like a Lutheran 2017

I hadn’t heard they were doing it again, but apparently they are. CPH is once again offering the “Read like a Lutheran” summer reading program. They’ve tweaked the read.cph.org website and, so far, it seems easier than ever. 🙂

A Lutheran summer reading program. Yay! Like last year‘s!

The long and short of it is that you can tally up points with CPH or non-CPH books. CPH books are worth 100 points and non-CPH 50. And, once you hit 1000 points, you or your family is entered for a chance to win one of 29 rewards.

Grand Prize (one winner)
Kindle Fire HD 8 32 GB Tablet and a 12-month gift membership to Audible

Runner-up Prize (three winners)
Kindle Fire 16GB

Additional Prize (twenty-five winners)
Copy of The Illuminated Catechism

It runs from May 27th to August 6, 2017. There are various media tools if you’d like to spread the message and include others, even including church bulletin inserts.

I must have missed and just deleted an announcing email about it. Hence, I’m a bit late to the party. My username and password from last year worked, and the kids’ info was kept, too. I just had to update their ages to reactivate their sub-accounts.

So far the nicest thing is that I can just enter the number of books a child has read with one title rather than tediously type out each one. WAY easier this way.

Let me know if there are additional significant changes.

Happy reading! Read like a Lutheran, however diverse or humorous that description may be! I will say that my mom is tucking into theology more for this round of the program than last year, and she even reread Blessinggetting even more out of it the second time. Yay! And, thanks Mom! 😀
