Rachel Kovaciny

Here’s another new-to-me Lutheran author: Rachel Kovaciny!

Rachel Kovaciny is part of a growing genre: fairy tales retold. Often they are adapted to modern times, but—I love this—Rachel resets them in Old West settings! Timeless tales meet historical fiction!

She has three short stories/novellas published, two as part of a larger collection and one as a stand alone:

Her website is www.rachelkovaciny.com/ and she kindly offers her brand-new adventure “No Match for a Good Story” blends Scheherazade from the Arabian Nights with characters from my “Sleeping Beauty” retelling “The Man on the Buckskin Horse.”  You can read it absolutely free from her website here!

As she says, “If you enjoy stories about pioneers, ranchers, cowboys, gunmen, and American Indians, or simply like seeing how familiar stories can play out in new settings, you will likely enjoy my books.” Sign up for her mailing list here.

Warm wishes to you, Rachel! I look forward to reading your work! Also, how does one title that genre? Reimagined? Retold? Hmmm.
