Today’s post is a review of book number two in Lutheran author Jody Hedlund’s series, Orphan Train: Together Forever.
Together Forever Review
After enjoying the first volume, I read through the whole series. I think Together Forever helped to flesh out the Orphan Train more than the first novel did, although I’m not sure that Marianne felt as fleshed out to me as Elise was. Still, an enjoyable read.
This was not my favorite of the trilogy (by all means read the next one!), because I wasn’t convinced that guilt quite works the way it did in the story. The guilt seemed a bit more like a plot device than an exploration of a human experience. Still, I certainly rooted for the characters and was generally pleased with the end.
