Come, Lord Jesus. We as Guest

Sometimes I get a phrase or an idea and it acts like an earworm. It will not let me go. Hence, my latest hymn attempt: “Come, Lord Jesus. We as Guest.” 🙂 Feedback welcome.

Come, Lord Jesus. We as guest
Beg asylum and request
Be our refuge and our stay.
In Your mercy, hear us pray.

Come, Lord Jesus. We as guest
Gather in Your House to rest.
Teach us all we ought to know.
Feed our faith that it may grow.

Come, Lord Jesus. We as guest
Eat and drink at Your behest.
As Your Body is confessed,
Let these gifts to us be blest.

Come, Lord Jesus. We as guest,
For Your wedding, cleansed and dressed,
Praise You, Father, Holy Ghost,
Everlasting Lord and Host.

In several places, I’m torn between two words. Still, I’m starting to feel pretty good about this one. 🙂 What do you think?
