I’ve mentioned this book before, as well as its previous (shorter) edition, but I sure love My Light and My Salvation by Lutheran poet Kurt E. Reinhardt.

I love everything about this book. I love this book so much that, when presenting a quick workshop on writing poetry this summer, I drew many of my examples and inspiration for writing prompts from it.
Kurt Reinhardt has a grasp of Scripture and turns of phrase that I find both stimulating and religiously soothing. I appreciate the diversity of emotions and the wide range of styles.
Absolutely excellent collection of contemporary theological poetry. Well worth rereading.
