Welp, a few weeks ago I got my first one star review. It wasn’t hurtful, thankfully. Just someone returning Whisper, Whisper because it wasn’t what they expected. “It’s very specific, not just generally being respectful in a church environment.”
And that’s ok. I don’t have to be what others expect. 🙂 I really am free to write Lutheran content for a Lutheran audience.
At the same time, here’s a friendly reminder to review the books you do like. If something is Lutheran, name it as such in your review so that we’re all upfront and no one is misled. Or loaded down by negative reviews. Right?
I understand why marketers want to market broadly. There’s merit to it. Do I want Lutheran materials in every home? I sure do! At the same time, the system is set up so that broad marketing is balanced with reviews who help to shed a little extra light on a book before making a purchase.
Shed a little light. 🙂 Review a couple books. It helps! And it offsets the reviews of those who weren’t able sufficiently preview material beforehand.
I just want to thank you for the numerous Lutheran specific resources you share. Your works (along with your father’s) have been a blessing in my life.
Thanks! I appreciate hearing that! 😊
