Ash Wednesday
Many of us are having an . . . odd and difficult week due to weather and energy conservation, and you’ll forgive me that I hate writing entire posts from my phone. So here’s a timely link (https://www.whatdoesthismean.org/lifted-voice–brian-hamer/on-psalms-hymns-and-spiritual-songs-psalm-51-by-georg-philipp-telemann) and a reminder that we’re in this together.
Lord, have mercy.
Thanks be to God that He does.

Officially a Pianist
I am officially a pianist. I’m playing at church each service, and we’ve finally gotten back to singing the service as well as the hymns now that so many of our members have been vaccinated. Yay, yay, yay!

Free Catechesis for Life
Rev. Dr. John W. Sias was a parish pastor before becoming LCMS synodical secretary. Before that he was a classmate of mine at Concordia Theological Seminary so, well, I can tell you that he loves White Castle hamburgers and has described avocados as green butter. Ha ha haaa. Anyway, I bring him up because he’s offering a series and study combination for free: Catechesis for Life.
Go here to get more details and the files. I’d say it’s good for personal, family, and congregational use. 🙂
I’ll be sure to add it to my Free Lutheran Resource page!
And, while you’re downloading that treasure of a freebie, be sure to look around the rest of LutheranCatechism.com.
