Abridgments
Just a short post today, but I’m in luck! My mother-in-law is sending me a bunch of classic abridgments: shortened versions for children. Yay!
I wonder if a similar thing could be done for Lutheran confessional pieces! 😉

Illustrated Nicene Creed
I’m putting together another Lutheran resource list. This time it is books for little Lutherans by suggestion age-appropriate materials. Will this include some adult books? YES! But for now, I’ve learned about an illustrated Nicene Creed book!!!

Baughman Giveaway
Ok. I’ve closed the Bo Giertz Giveaway and have sent out an email to those who entered. (Let me know if that failed somehow.) Now, on to a Sarah Baughman Giveaway! This Lutheran author has graciously offered a free copy of A Flame in the Darkness, a solid and satisfying book set in Wittenberg during the Reformation. I reviewed it here. I really enjoyed it!
Grimm’s Fairy Tales
Summer is a wonderful time for reading, not just as individuals but also as a family. Here is a book written by LCMS Pastor Tyrel Bramwell: Finding the Truth in Story: Grimm’s Fairy Tales, Vol. 1. Sometimes you may want to read a book to help stimulate your own thinking. That is, you kind of expect to disagree on things,or maybe you’re just not quite in the mood to read it but you think it’d be good for you. Anyway, you know a book may offer food for thought on the topic. For me, Building Faith One Child at a Time was such a book.
