The other day I saw a passing reference of praise about Dr. Bruce G. Schuchard’s book, The Word from the Beginning: The Person and Work of Jesus in the Gospel of John. It released last fall. I haven’t seen it, but it surely sounds interesting and worth mentioning. 🙂

Blessed Ash Wednesday!
Blessed Ash Wednesday! I didn’t get around to making a post for Lenten resources this year. Thankfully you can always search the site and find several easily enough. Even so, today I can offer you two Lenten-themed links: A Confession Reading Plan for Lent and a neat article titled “Jane Austen, C.S. Lewis, Laughter & Lent.” 😀 HT: Deac. Ahlman for the latter.

I love this. A few Novembers ago, a teen sat down and wrote a novel in a month for NaNoWriMo. Well, she’s gotten it professionally edited and published! Congratulations to Naomi Truwe on the release of her first novel, Found in Manhattan!

My Treasury of Faith
CPH has come out with another baptismal gift today with the release of their latest book, My Treasury of Faith. 🙂 It’s a collection of prayers, psalms, hymns, and Scripture, and it’s designed for children 9 and older. Great book for children (rather than infant) baptisms.
