The Reading Life

You get an extra post from me today because of a deal I saw on Amazon: CS Lewis’ The Reading Life is only $1.99 on Kindle.

I hadn’t even heard of the title. I’m thinking it is a collection of assorted essays and articles. Let me check that . . . yep. That’s what it is. Culminating in 192 pages.

The Reading Life sounds pretty good to me! I thought you might be interested to know about the deal.

Also, maybe this is a good time to remind you of something I really love: BookBub. BookBub.com is a website that lets you select favorite genres and then receive a daily email listing books in those genres on a super good sale. Typically $2.99 or less, though maybe a bit higher. There are also often free Kindle versions since this is a way that authors pay to market their books. If they can get their ratings up on Amazon & GoodReads, etc., then they’ll sell more books later, no matter how many they give away now.

All in all a very clever set up. And for those of us without a book budget . . . well, who could ask for more? Actually, BookBub also lets you follow authors, rate books, and browse through a bunch of stuff. Pretty awesome.

Hat tip to my mother in law for getting me started with it years ago! (No, I’m not an affiliate with them. Just a fan.)
