Ensnared

Today is a release day for prolific Lutheran author Jody HedlundEnsnared is book three in Knights of Brethren. I recommend the series and the book, which I review below. 🙂

(By the way, the fourth book in the series is expected out July 12! Yay! Actually. Wow! Book 4 comes out July, book 5 in August, and book 6 in September! Wowza!)

Ensnared Review

Ensnared was a perfect first book of the summer! A lowly but spunky girl is the main character, but her loved ones are having an increasingly difficult time hiding her from dangers. Then an enamored charmer returns, who has found his own ways to hide in plain sight. 🙂 Not to spoil too much, but I get relieved when “bad boys” turn out to be good guys! Right?!

I’ve enjoyed every book in this series. Jody Hedlund always delivers a fun read with heartwarming moments and with periodic quotes that make you smile.

Set in medieval times, there are some supernatural and fantastical elements, which I enjoyed. In a nutshell, what would it take to bring you into a scary, dangerous wood? A friend? A sister? Your beloved? What will you find in the wood? How will things end? Will someone, or something, follow you out? When the time comes, would you ensnare or be ensnared?
