And Take They Our Life

My summer reading is varying pretty wildly by this point. Oklahoma is hot. The family needs a vacation, and there are so many boiling-point topics that I’m just about fried. (Mixed metaphor, but I don’t have the energy left to fight or deny it!). So I added one of Bryan Wolfmueller’s free PDFs to my Kindle: And Take They Our Life. Here’s my review.

And Take They Our Life Review

I found this a very thought-provoking book. While it stirs a person pretty deeply to ask, “How would you respond to martyrdom?” it is also remarkably soothing to hear that, once again, it is not about me and either my strengths or weaknesses, but Jesus and God’s gifts. This was eye-opening and because of it I hope to do a better job finding Christian heroes for my own perspective, as well as my children.

This is available as a free PDF on wolfmueller.co (type the title into the search and you’ll find it or follow the link in my very first paragraph), on Kindle for $2.99, and paperback for $9.99.

I haven’t yet read A Martyr’s Faith in a Faithless Worldbut I daresay I am now one step closer to doing so. 🙂 My husband bought it so I’ll defer until he’s finished it for his bookclub. Click the link early in this paragraph to see that on Amazon or click the picture below to support CPH with your purchase. I’ve only heard great things about it.

May you find courage & encouragement in Christ!
