Tanka Schon

Today’s post is a review of Lutheran poet Ray Spitzenberger’s latest release: Tanka Schön: Poems by a Texas Wend.

Tanka Schön Review

Another lovely collection from Ray Spitzenberger. I read it bit by bit, reincorporating poetry into my day. It’s only about 100 pages and the poetry was nice and compact.

Spitzenberger offers a bit of introductory contemplation and poetry in the following parts:

  • Fast and Frisky
  • Light and Breezy
  • Slow and Sad
  • Sacred and Joyful
  • The Family Violin

You can probably already see the musical influence. I really enjoyed the musical references and the flow of thoughts and sounds.

This guy is just an easy poet to recommend! 🙂
