Today’s review is on Ordering Our Days in His Peace: An Introduction to the Christian Church Year by LCMS Pastor H. R. Curtis. It’s something of a follow up from my review post here from last week. (This is probably the format I’ll use when I actually post the reviews to Amazon & GoodReads after I wrap up with the third.)

Church Year Calendar
Many thanks to Rev. Andrew Richard for telling me about his latest resource: a church year calendar!

Church Year Poem
I’ve been thinking about poetry as a genre and writing some myself. I may even put together a book of it, just for fun. I’m thinking the title could be something like Theological Connections. Anyway, here is a post that caught my attention with its explanation and summary of the church year in poetic/hymn form. I’ve printed the poem up and think I’ll use it for homeschooling. Thanks, Robin Fish! (And, readers, if you’ve forgotten, now’s a good time to check out Rev. Fish’s book, Useful Hymns (Expanded edition published in 2017).
Kids in the Divine Service
Hello, everybody. I’ve been gathering free Lutheran resources for my “Crafts and Crafted-for-Free” resource page, and I thought I’d bring you up to speed. The latest add is a set of free PDFs titled Kids in the Divine Service. They were put together by Rev. Christopher Thoma (who was a DCE before becoming an LCMS pastor) and the LCMS Commission on Worship (hm, perhaps former commission on worship).
