Today I get to announce the Deep Rough release, starring as the latest novel in the Pastor Stephen Grant series by Lutheran author Ray Keating.
Dear Lord, thank you for prolific authors. May I also become one. Amen.
I’ve reviewed several previous novels (here, here, and here), and I’ve mentioned both the author and the series a number of times. Does the man still need an introduction? 🙂 I’m just not so sure that he does. At the same time, he is a busy, busy man, so to be sure you know the latest on his projects, I recommend signing up for his email list here.
Anyway, Deep Rough is sure to be another enjoyable thriller as Rev. Stephen Grant, Lutheran pastor and former CIA agent extraordinaire, faces another conflict through those he knows and loves, including his economics expert wife.
Some of the books in this series, short stories included, have particular focus, whether it’s baseball in Murderer’s Row or comic con culture in Heroes and Villains. Overarchingly, of course, it’s conservative in terms of its understandings of society and economics. In Deep Rough, we’ll get to see China and how some of its policies and programs affect both a pastor in China and a famous golfing son.
Sounds like fun summer reading to me! Thanks, Mr. Keating, for all you continue to do!
