A Reintroduction

(Blessed Easter Monday! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!)          I’ve had another book idea. It’s kind of basic. So basic, in fact, that I’m surprised it hasn’t been done. It would be a reintroduction to Christianity, suitable to hand to unbelievers, especially those who acknowledge they don’t know much about Jesus.

That Which I Ought

That which I ought to write, that I do not write. That which I ought to read, that I do not read. Will pleasure reading always be a pull away from project-related reading? Is this a lifelong condition or one I will grow out of?

If you are stalling out mid-project, this post is for you.

Tally Marks

Yesterday I made one confession and today I have another, more funny, one regarding tally marks. (BTW, I’ve gotten some good feedback about reviews/reviewing. Stay tuned for more on that topic later.)

Starting New Projects

Why do I keep starting new projects rather than finishing old ones? Is it that the inspiration passes? Am I growing toward better approaches? Am I just too divided to focus?!

Disorganized notes

For a while I was keeping a little pocket flip-top notebook in my purse. I’d jot down notes whenever they struck and try to title the page to make it more searcher-friendly. You know what I have now? Something bound to get lost before I type in my disorganized notes.

Buying Books and Not Reading Them

Buying books and not reading them: I almost can’t imagine avoiding that on-again/ off-again practice. After all, who doesn’t buy to stock up for a rain day or a lighter work load? Who doesn’t splurge on occasion? Anyway, I read a fun little article, “There’s a Word for Buy Books and Not Reading Them,” so I’ll link to it and comment.

Paragraphs

I’m trying to review more, which is nice because it means reading more! Still, I’m stumbling on something that keeps coming up. I know it must be a style thing, but I don’t actually see how paragraphs and paragraph lengths are style rather than organization.
